The Rehabilitation for
the Blind won a new project under the Leonardo da Vinci Program, called
P.R.O.T.E.C.T. Partners within it will be the Sonneheerdt Foundation – the
Netherlands, the Sofia University – Department of Special Education, Centre
for Social Adaptation of the Groups at Risk – CSAGR, Bulgaria, Camera Work –
Italy, Regional Union of the Blind – Italy, the Romanian Association of
Blind. The project started on January 15, 2007 and will last till January
15, 2009. Its aim is identifying criteria for quality in the training of
people with disabilities.
The first international meeting under the project will be held in Plovdiv on
February 19 and 20, 2007.
