Two work meetings with the parents on the running project "Helping visually impaired youths and adults to choose a career - Training for parents and relatives." were organized. There was a great interest and active participation from the chosen mentors.
At the first seminar /8-9 May/ the parents have been introduced into the first two modules of the methods. The all questions and checklists of the Module 1 have been explained and run. The main task assigned to the parents was to observe the child and to ask all questions without fear of favour. After that they should develop a personal profile of the child with the expert’s help of the psychologist.
At the second working meeting /3-5 September/ all parents presented their developments. Their works have been done successfully. At this seminar the parents have been introduced to the modules 3 and 4 of the methods – meeting an employer and developing own business. The parents received three tasks-casuses to be solved. The next meeting with the parents will be held 12-14 November.
