The State Tactile Omero Museum was the seat of the first meeting between the partners of the project "Access to Art - Right not privilege" realised in the framework of European Programme Joint Actions under the direction of the DG for Education and Culture
The project aims at facilitating the access to the world of art by young blind and visually impaired people as follows:

* To promote the complete integration of young and adult disabled people in society and to encourage the access to education and professional training in this field;
* To improve the capacity and the competences of such people, especially the young using professional training methods at all levels;
* To develop a concept within the world of art for blind and visually impaired people;
* To promote a new perspective among the visitors of the museums, modern art galleries and citizens of the mentioned territories based on the perspective of the blind and visually impaired people.

Before the discussion on the work plan, the partners were welcomed by the President of the Omero Museum Mr. Roberto Farroni and by Mr Aldo Grassini, President of the Union of the Blind at regional level
This meeting at the Omero Museum has been a very precious occasion to present at European level an important experience that is completely connected with the activity of the project and to start a useful cooperation.
